Complex Care Units Remodel

As part of the large capital improvement project for Bethany Children’s Health Center, the first phase focused on strengthening the core of the Hospital – the Reynolds Building Complex Care Units, now 25 years old – via a $10 million remodel.

In May 2023, the Hospital secured $2 million in funding from The American Rescue Plan Act via House Bill 2943, championed by the Oklahoma House and Senate, earmarked for the revamp of the Complex Care Units. The project officially commenced in July 2023, and should be completed later this year.

Upgrades to the units include everything from new flooring and windows to patient lifts in each bed space, high-tech headwalls with TVs and entertainment systems, and dedicated storage in each patient’s space. These renovations have already positively impacted movement, patient flow and infection control within the units.
