DAISY Award Nomination

Bethany Children’s Health Center 2023 DAISY Award recipient, Kayla Morgan, LPN

Kayla Morgan is the first recipient of the DAISY award at Bethany Children’s Health Center. She was nominated by Nathaniel Adesanwo’s family. Nathaniel was a patient here for six months following a ruptured AVM and hemorrhagic stroke.

“Kayla was like our family while we were here. She took care of us, and it went beyond just her job, it was very personal. She checked in every morning and throughout the day to make sure Nathaniel had what he needed. Even though we were here 24/7, she went above and beyond in helping us and doing more than what was needed.” Adrienne Adesanwo

We join the Adesanwo family in thanking Kayla for her incredible commitment to Nathaniel throughout his stay at Bethany Children’s. Her exceptional patient care, compassion, and dedication to her job are an inspiration to all. We are proud to have her as a member of our healthcare team and grateful for the positive impact she has on our patients’ lives.

want to say thank you to your nurse?

share your story!

The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award is an international recognition program that honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day. The DAISY Foundation was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he died from complications of the auto-immune disease ITP in 1999. During his hospitalization, they deeply appreciated the care and compassion shown to Patrick and his entire family. When he died, they felt compelled to say “thank you” to nurses in a very public way. Please say thank you by sharing your story of how a nurse made a difference you will never forget!
