Dorothy Bayles joined the staff at Bethany Children’s Health Center in 2012 and serves as the Director of Pastoral Care. The department expanded to include a team of chaplains with specific focuses who provide spiritual care and emotional support to the patients, their loved ones, and the staff. Prior to joining Bethany Children’s Health Center, Dorothy served as a Chaplain at Deaconess Hospital for ten years. In addition to being an ordained chaplain, Dorothy is a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) (Association of Certified Christian Chaplains – ACCC, Spiritual Care Association-SCA), and a Certified CPE Supervisor (Center for Spiritual Care and Pastoral Formation – CSCPF). She has a Doctorate of Theology in Clinical Pastoral Psychotherapy and a Master of Theology and Chaplaincy from Capstone University in Washington. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Austin.
