The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital is now Bethany Children’s Health Center.

The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital recently received an exciting piece of state-of-the-art medical equipment.  Thanks to a generous grant from the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, our new AccuVax machine from TruMed Systems, Inc. is now in use.

AccuVax is the only, all-in-one vaccine storage and management system that automates vaccine control and integrity, minimizes risks of incorrect vaccine delivery, and optimizes office workflow so that our providers can focus on the highest level of care.

Amber McKinzie, Director of Outpatient Services, reports that Outpatient Services at The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital gives over 3,200 vaccinations annually.  “The proper storage and handling of vaccines play a pivotal role in protecting our patients, and we are dedicated to elevating our standard of care by being on the forefront of innovation with the AccuVax system,” McKinzie says.

Some of the highlights of this advanced technology are safeguarding vaccine viability, minimizing vaccine loss, maximizing patient safety, quickly viewing real-time inventory and keeping vaccine inventory accurate.  Within the first week of use, McKinzie and her team were able to see an increase in efficiency and a reduction in time spent on vaccine inventory.
